Vladimir Kotlyakov

Vladimir Mikhailovich Kotlyakov is a leading Soviet and Russian geographer and glaciologist, recognized as the head of the Russian school of glaciology and an author of over 30 books and thousands of scientific articles. He is an academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (since 1991), former director of the Institute of Geography, and a key contributor to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which received the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.
