Viorel Badescu

Mihail-Viorel Bădescu is a Romanian chemical engineer and professor at the Politehnica University of Bucharest, who became a full member of the Romanian Academy in 2017. He was born on September 24, 1953, in Bughea de Jos, Argeș County, and has served as Vice-President of the Romanian Committee for the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology. His career spans thermodynamics, radiation thermodynamics, and the history of science, with academic roles from assistant to professor until his retirement in 2019.
