Victor Vinogradov
Viktor Vladimirovich Vinogradov (1895–1969) was a prominent Soviet linguist, philologist, and literary scholar, renowned for his contributions to Russian grammar, lexicology, stylistics, and phraseology. He served as head of the Department of Russian Language at Moscow State University (1930–1969), director of the Institute of Linguistics (1950s), and the Institute of the Russian Language (1958–1968), becoming a full member of the USSR Academy of Sciences in 1946. His work, exceeding 300 publications, earned him awards including the USSR State Prize (1951) and the Pushkin Prize (posthumously, 1971).[1][3][5]
