Valerie Thomas

Valerie LaVerne Thomas (born February 8, 1943, in Baltimore, Maryland) is an American scientist, mathematician, physicist, and inventor best known for patenting the illusion transmitter in 1980, a device using concave mirrors to produce three-dimensional optical illusions adopted by NASA and later adapted for surgery tools and television screens.[1][2][4]
