V S (Vigfus Samundur) 1 Asmundson
Vigfus Samundur Asmundson (1895-1974) was an Icelandic-born scientist who conducted pioneering research in poultry science and genetics. He received his B.S. from the University of Saskatchewan in 1918 and later became a Professor of Poultry Husbandry at the University of California, Davis, where he made significant contributions to chicken breeding and the study of hormones in egg formation.
