V. Daniel Castracane
V. Daniel Castracane was a biologist and prolific scientific writer born on August 16, 1940, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Italian immigrant parents. He earned a B.A. in Biology from Temple University (1962), an M.S. from Villanova University (1966), and a Ph.D. in Zoology from Rutgers University (1972), contributing extensively to endocrinology and physiology research with over 7,000 citations. He passed away on November 12, 2025, in Landenberg, Pennsylvania, after a brief illness.[1]
