Uyless Black

Uyless Black is the author of over forty books, including works on computer networking such as Internet Architecture, memoirs like A Swimmer’s Odyssey about his Vietnam War service and love of swimming, and social commentaries like The Nearly Perfect Storm on the 2008 financial crisis and 2084 and Beyond on human aggression. He graduated from the University of New Mexico with a degree in Psychology, completed graduate work in computer systems at American University and Rutgers, and held positions including Assistant Director at the Federal Reserve Board and Senior Vice President at the Dallas Federal Reserve Bank. His writings also include personal anecdotes from his childhood in Lea County, New Mexico, as seen in The Light Side of Little Texas.
