Upton Sinclair

Upton Sinclair was a prolific American novelist, journalist, and socialist activist best known for his muckraking novel 'The Jungle' (1906), which exposed unsanitary conditions in the meatpacking industry and led to federal food safety laws. He won the 1943 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for his novel 'Dragon's Teeth' and wrote over 90 books across various genres, including historical fiction and social commentary.
