Tsu-Jae King Liu

Tsu-Jae King Liu is an American academic and electrical engineer born on June 4, 1963, in Ithaca, New York, who currently serves as the president of the National Academy of Engineering. She is the Dean and Roy W. Carlson Professor of Engineering at UC Berkeley, where she has taught and conducted research on semiconductor devices since 1996, and was the first female dean in the college's 150-year history. Liu holds close to 100 patents, has authored over 550 publications, and received the DARPA Significant Technical Achievement Award for developing the FinFET transistor design.
