Troy Vettese

Troy Vettese is an environmental historian specializing in environmental economics, animal studies, energy history, and the history of environmental thought under capitalism.[1][2][3] He earned his PhD in history from New York University in 2019, held postdoctoral fellowships at Harvard University (2019-2021) and other institutions, and co-authored the manifesto Half-Earth Socialism with Drew Pendergrass (Verso, 2022).[1][2][4] Currently, he is a Ciriacy-Wantrup postdoctoral fellow at UC Berkeley, working on a monograph about neoliberal environmental thought and involved in programs at THE NEW INSTITUTE.[2][5][6]
