Travis Tidwell
Travis Vaughn Tidwell (February 5, 1929 – July 1, 2004) was an American football player and coach who excelled at Auburn University, leading the nation in passing as a freshman and earning SEC Most Valuable Player and All-American honors in 1949.[1][2] He played quarterback for the New York Giants from 1950-1951, was MVP of the inaugural Senior Bowl, and later returned to Auburn as an assistant coach.[1][2]
