A Kansas native, she debuted with 'A Place to Belong' in 1993 and has earned awards including the ACFW Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011 and Romantic Times Career Achievement Award in 2007. She resides in Montana with her husband Jim, with whom she collaborates on historical research.
