Tomie dePaola
Tomie dePaola (1934–2020) was an American writer and illustrator best known for creating over 270 children's books, including the beloved Strega Nona series. His charming characters and distinctive artistic style made his picture books appealing to both children and adults, and he received numerous prestigious awards including the Children's Literature Legacy Award in 2011 for his substantial and lasting contribution to literature for children.
