Tom Weir

Thomas Weir MBE (1914–2006) was a Scottish climber, author, broadcaster, and environmental activist, best known for hosting the long-running television series Weir's Way from 1976 to 1987, where he explored Scotland's landscapes, people, and natural history.[1][2] Born in Springburn, Glasgow, he wrote a monthly column for The Scots Magazine for over 50 years, campaigned for national parks and environmental protection, and received awards including the MBE in 1976 and the John Muir Lifetime Achievement Award in 2000.[2][3]
