Tom Rea

Tom Rea, born in 1950 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is an American author known for his nonfiction works on history and natural history, including the Spur Award-winning 'Bone Wars: The Excavation and Celebrity of Andrew Carnegie's Dinosaur' (2001) and 'Devil's Gate: Owning the Land, Owning the Story' (2006). A former reporter for the Casper Star-Tribune in Wyoming, he founded Dooryard Press and serves as editor and co-founder of WyoHistory.org with the Wyoming State Historical Society. He resides in Casper, Wyoming, and has also published poetry such as 'Man in a Rowboat' (1977).
