Tom Clancy
Thomas Leo Clancy Jr. was an American novelist best known for his technically detailed espionage and military-science thrillers, particularly the Jack Ryan series. Originally an insurance broker in Maryland with a passion for naval history, he launched his career in 1984 with the bestseller The Hunt for Red October, which gained fame after praise from President Reagan. Over 100 million copies of his 17 bestselling novels have been sold worldwide.
