The Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee) is an international Holiness-Pentecostal Christian denomination headquartered in Cleveland, Tennessee, and founded in 1886 by Richard Spurling; it later adopted the name Church of God in 1907. It grew under leaders including A. J. Tomlinson and is known for Pentecostal distinctives such as an emphasis on Spirit baptism and speaking in tongues.[1][2][3]
