Titus Livius

Titus Livius, known as Livy, was a prominent Roman historian born in 59 BCE in Patavium (modern Padua, Italy). He authored the monumental work 'Ab Urbe Condita,' a comprehensive history of Rome from its legendary founding to his own time during Augustus's reign. Livy died in 17 CE in his birthplace, preserving key Roman traditions and mythology.[1][5]
