Timothy Michell

Timothy Mitchell is a British-born political theorist and historian best known for his work on colonialism, modernity, the politics of the Middle East, and the role of expert knowledge in government. He is the William B. Ransford Professor of Middle Eastern, South Asian, and African Studies at Columbia University and previously taught at New York University.
