Timothy George

Timothy George is an American theologian, historian, and ordained Southern Baptist minister who served as founding dean of Beeson Divinity School at Samford University from 1988 to 2019 and now holds positions as Research Professor of Divinity and executive editor of Christianity Today. He is renowned for his work on Reformation theology, including authoring the widely used textbook Theology of the Reformers and serving as general editor of the Reformation Commentary on Scripture series. Active in ecumenical dialogue, particularly between evangelicals and Roman Catholics, he has written over 20 books and pastored churches in several U.S. states.
