Tim Smit

Sir Tim Smit KBE is a British entrepreneur and visionary best known as co-founder of the Eden Project, a world-renowned horticultural attraction in Cornwall that opened in 2000. Born in the Netherlands and educated in archaeology and anthropology at Durham University, he worked as a composer and producer in the music industry before moving to Cornwall in 1987, where he co-restored the Lost Gardens of Heligan and later transformed a disused clay pit into the Eden Project, which has welcomed over 19 million visitors.
