Tim Egan (Author, Illustrator)

Tim Egan is an American author and illustrator renowned for his offbeat, humorous children's books featuring unusual animal characters, such as the Dodsworth series.[1][2][3] He graduated from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, worked as an art director at Egan Design in Canoga Park, CA, and for Recycled Paper Greetings, while also freelancing and teaching children's book illustration.[1][2][3] Egan has published over 17 self-illustrated books, drawing inspiration from William Steig, Maurice Sendak, and others, and balances writing with his design career.[1][2]
