Thomas Werge

Thomas Werge is a clinical professor at the Institute of Biological Psychiatry, Mental Health Centre Sct. Hans, Copenhagen University Hospital, and the Department of Clinical Medicine, University of Copenhagen, specializing in genetic studies of severe mental disorders such as schizophrenia and autism.[2][3][4] He leads a research group focused on uncovering biological causes through genetics to predict disease risks, courses, and treatment responses.[4] His work emphasizes the hereditary and environmental basis of mental disorders, involving psychiatrists, geneticists, bioinformaticians, statisticians, and epidemiologists.[4]
