Thomas W. Birch

Thomas W. Birch (1774–1821) was a surgeon, merchant, and shipowner who arrived in Hobart Town, Australia, in May 1808 as a medical officer on a whaler. He later settled in Australia and is noted in historical records for his contributions to early colonial society. He was not primarily an author, and no literary genres are associated with him.
