Thomas L. Saaty

Thomas L. Saaty (1926–2017) was an Iraqi-born American mathematician and professor at the University of Pittsburgh, best known as the creator of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and its generalization, the Analytic Network Process (ANP). His work influenced decision analysis, operations research, and strategic planning, and he wrote extensively on mathematics and management science.
