Thomas J. Kelly

Thomas Kelly, born in 1961, is an American novelist whose works draw from his experiences in New York City construction, politics, and government. He worked as a cab driver, night watchman, amateur boxer, literacy teacher, and director of advance for the mayor of New York, before writing novels like Payback (1997), The Rackets (2001), and Empire Rising (2005), which explore working-class heroes, corruption, unions, organized crime, and New York City history.[1][5]
