Thomas Hill

Thomas Edie Hill was an American writer, teacher, newspaper publisher, and public servant who served two terms as mayor of Aurora. He is best known for his popular reference book Hill's Manual of Social and Business Forms, which provided practical advice on etiquette and personal improvement, marking an early example of the self-help genre. Hill lived from 1832 to 1915 and moved to Glen Ellyn in 1885.
