Thomas Edmonds

Thomas John Edmonds was a British-born New Zealand businessman and philanthropist who created and manufactured the famous Edmonds 'Sure to Rise' baking powder and authored the iconic Edmonds Cookery Book.[1] He emigrated to New Zealand, built a successful manufacturing business, and financed several public buildings in Christchurch, including a band rotunda and clock tower gifted to the city in 1929.[1]
