Thomas 1729-1811 Percy

Thomas Percy (1729–1811) was an English clergyman, antiquarian, poet, and bishop of Dromore. He is best remembered for compiling *Reliques of Ancient English Poetry* (1765), a highly influential ballad collection that helped spark renewed interest in traditional English and Scottish song and influenced the Romantic movement.
