Theoni Pappas

Theoni Pappas is an American mathematics educator, author, and consultant passionate about making math accessible and enjoyable for all ages. Born in 1944, she earned her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley in 1966 and her M.A. from Stanford University, beginning her teaching career in high school mathematics in 1967. She has authored numerous books such as The Joy of Mathematics, The Adventures of Penrose the Mathematical Cat, and The Magic of Mathematics, often presenting complex ideas in fun, simple ways.
