Theodore Roosevelt
Theodore Roosevelt (1858–1919) was the 26th President of the United States, serving from 1901 to 1909 after succeeding William McKinley, and winning election in his own right in 1904. Known as a progressive reformer, trust-buster, conservationist, and expansionist in foreign policy, he strengthened the presidency, mediated the end of the Russo-Japanese War to earn the 1906 Nobel Peace Prize, and oversaw the Panama Canal's construction.
