Theo Greene

Theo Greene is an associate professor of sociology at Bowdoin College whose research focuses on sexual communities, urban neighborhoods, and the social dynamics of gentrification, displacement, and race in postindustrial cities. His 2024 book, *Not in My Gayborhood: Gay Neighborhoods and the Rise of the Vicarious Citizen*, examines how LGBTQ+ neighborhoods in Washington, DC, maintain cultural identities and claims to place.
