Tess Gerritsen
Tess Gerritsen is an internationally bestselling American novelist and retired physician who took an unusual route to her writing career. After graduating from Stanford University and earning her MD from the University of California, San Francisco, she began writing fiction while on maternity leave in 1987. She is best known for her medical thrillers, particularly the Rizzoli & Isles series featuring homicide detective Jane Rizzoli and medical examiner Maura Isles, which was adapted into a successful TNT television series.
