Ted Anton

Ted Anton is an emeritus professor of English at DePaul University and an award-winning author of creative nonfiction and popular science writing. His most recent book, Programmable Planet: The Synthetic Biology Revolution (Columbia University Press, 2023), explores synthetic biology from its origins to present day. A Carl Sandburg Award winner and Fulbright Senior Research Fellow, his work has appeared in major publications including Slate, The Wall Street Journal, and The Chicago Tribune.
