Tea Obreht

Téa Obreht (born Tea Bajraktarević) is a Serbian-American novelist born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, in 1985, who grew up in Cyprus and Egypt before immigrating to the United States in 1997. Her debut novel, The Tiger's Wife, won the 2011 Orange Prize for Fiction and was a National Book Award finalist. Her second novel, Inland, became a New York Times bestseller, and her short stories have appeared in The New Yorker, Harper’s, and The Atlantic.
