Taylor Philip Meadows

Philip Meadows Taylor was an English civil servant and author who spent much of his life in India. He is best known for his novel 'Confessions of a Thug' (1839), which drew on his firsthand knowledge of Indian society and crime. His works helped popularize Indian themes in Victorian literature.
