Tariq Rahman
Tariq Rahman is a distinguished Pakistani scholar, linguist, and author specializing in the linguistic history of South Asian Muslims, with notable books including Language and Politics in Pakistan (1996), Language, Ideology and Power (2002), and From Hindi to Urdu (2011).[1][2] He holds doctorates from the University of Sheffield (PhD 1985, D.Litt 2014) and Strathclyde, has received awards like the Humboldt Research Award (2012) and Sitara-i-Imtiaz (2014), and currently serves as Dean at Beaconhouse National University, Lahore.[2][3][4][5]
