Takehiko Inoue

Takehiko Inoue is a Japanese manga artist born on January 12, 1967, in Ōkuchi, Kagoshima Prefecture, best known for his basketball series Slam Dunk (1990–1996), which sold over 170 million copies worldwide, and the jidaigeki manga Vagabond.[1][2] He debuted with Kaede Purple in 1988, winning the Tezuka Osamu Award, and has received numerous accolades including the Shogakukan Manga Award and Kodansha Manga Award for his influential works in shōnen and sports genres.[2][4]
