t thilleman (also known as Tod Thilleman) is an American poet and author of approximately 30 books of poetry and prose, including the novel Gowanus Canal, Hans Knudsen, and works like Three Sea Monsters and Blasted Tower.[1][2][5] He migrated from Wisconsin to New York in the early 1980s, where he edited Poetry New York from 1991-1999 and draws from influences including the New American Poetry, mysticism, Buddhism, and cosmology.[2][4][5] His ongoing projects include the longpoem Anatomical Sketches, and his poetics explore innovative forms blending prose, poetry, and visual elements.[1][2]
