T. E. Thorpe

Sir Thomas Edward Thorpe (1845–1925) was a British chemist and science writer known for his work in government laboratories, studies of chemical properties, and books on chemistry and its history. He served as Chief Chemist to the British Government from 1894 to 1909 and was knighted in 1909.
