Sylvia A. Rosenthal
Sylvie (Sylvia) Rosenthal is a woodworker, sculptor, designer, and educator based in Madison, Wisconsin, who began building at age six at the Eli Whitney Museum, creating circuses, catapults, rockets, and robots. She earned a BFA in Woodworking and Furniture Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology's School for American Crafts and an MFA in Sculpture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and she built two houses with mentor Doug Sigler. Rosenthal owns Lower Astronomy Studios and teaches woodworking and design thinking in various settings.
