Syeda Saiyiden Hameed

Syeda Saiyidain Hameed (born 1943) is an Indian women’s rights activist, educationist, and writer. She is a former member of the Planning Commission of India and the National Commission for Women, and has also been active in peace and dialogue initiatives in South Asia. Her published works include writings on Maulana Azad and Dr. Zakir Husain.
