Sydney J. Van Scyoc

Sydney J. Van Scyoc (1939-2023) was an American science fiction author whose debut story 'Shatter the Wall' appeared in Galaxy in 1962, followed by her first novel Saltflower in 1971.[1][2] She published eleven novels and around thirty short stories primarily between 1962 and 1991, before ceasing writing in 1992 to make and sell jewelry.[1][2] Her works often explored themes of frustrated female narrators and dystopian futures.[2]
