Swami Narayanananda (1902–1988) was a revered Indian teacher of Vedanta philosophy and the founder of 'The Universal Religion,' a tradition emphasizing independence from racial, national, and sectarian distinctions. Born in Coorg, South India, he became a monk in 1929, attained Nirvikalpa Samadhi in 1933, and established ashrams and centers across India, Europe, and the United States.
