Suzanne Slade
Suzanne Slade is an award-winning author of over 150 children's books, a former mechanical engineer who worked on rockets, and a Sibert Honor recipient known for writing about STEM topics and inspiring historical figures.[1][2][3] Born in Harvey, Illinois, and raised in Goshen, Indiana, she transitioned from engineering to writing after adopting children and becoming a stay-at-home mom.[5][7] She lives in Illinois and maintains an active presence in children's literature.[2]
