Susan Wittig Albert
Susan Wittig Albert, born January 2, 1940, in Maywood, Illinois, is a prolific American author known for her **China Bayles** mystery series featuring an herbalist sleuth, as well as the **Cottage Tales of Beatrix Potter** and co-authored **Robin Paige** Victorian mysteries with her husband Bill Albert. She earned a B.A. from the University of Illinois and a Ph.D. from UC Berkeley, taught English and held administrative roles before leaving academia in midlife to write full-time, and founded the Story Circle Network in 1997 to support women writers.[1][2][7]
