Susan Williams Knowles

Dr. Susan Williams Knowles is a historian and leading authority on the marble industry of East Tennessee, affiliated with Middle Tennessee State University's Center for Historic Preservation. She conducted extensive research on the marble industry as the subject of her dissertation and served as guest curator for the 'Rock of Ages' exhibition at the East Tennessee Historical Society in 2016-2017. She has worked on numerous historic preservation projects throughout Tennessee.
