Susan S Wadley
Susan Snow Wadley is a Professor Emeritus of Anthropology at Syracuse University, where she also served as Ford-Maxwell Professor of South Asian Studies and Senior Research Associate at the South Asia Center. She has conducted anthropological research in India since 1963, earning her PhD from the University of Chicago, with specialties in social change, religion, folklore, gender issues, folk art traditions, and culture in rural India and Upstate New York. Her notable publications include 'Struggling with Destiny in Karimpur, 1925-1984' and 'Women in India: Two Perspectives'.
