Susan Richards Shreve
Susan Richards Shreve, born May 2, 1939, in Toledo, Ohio, is an acclaimed American author of fifteen novels, a memoir titled *Warm Springs: Traces of a Childhood*, and nearly thirty books for children.[1][2][3][4][6] She has taught creative writing as a professor at George Mason University for over forty years, co-founded the PEN/Faulkner Foundation in 1985 where she served as chairman, and received prestigious awards including a Guggenheim Fellowship and National Endowment for the Arts grants.[3][4][5][7]
