Susan Powers

Susan Power is a Native American author and enrolled member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. Born in Chicago, she is known for novels and short fiction that explore Native identity, family history, and contemporary life; her debut novel, _The Grass Dancer_, won the PEN/Hemingway Award for Best First Fiction.
